Center of Ornamental Fish Studies and Conservation
Project Piaba is a community based interdisiplinary project which has been established to understand the ecological and socio-cultural systems of the middle Rio Negro, located in the basin of the Amazonas, Brazil. Our objective is to conserve and maintain the live ornamental fisheries and other renewable resources at a commercially feasible, and ecologically sustainable level.
